After Joanie cooked us a wonderful breakfast and
gave us some provisions for the next part of our trip, we said goodbye to her
and Trevor and California and set out for Las Vegas. After the completing the
30 hour initial trek to Los Angeles, Las Vegas seemed like it was only a hop, a
skip and a jump away, since it was only 5 hours away. We couldn’t check into
our hotel right away, so Kileigh and I forced Dan to take us to the mall to see
if we could find some appropriate outfits for the night. For once, Forever21
did us well and we both managed to find exactly what we wanted and it took us
less than an hour. Needless to say, we were pretty impressed with our shopping
skills. We stopped through Panda Express to fuel up for the evening and then
went to check in at the Mirage. We just made it to our room. The room itself is
very nice and they even upgraded us to pool view. It’s time for some much
needed naps so we can be ready to hit the town in a few hours!
